values 1 and -1

We don't use -1 and 1 values for oneway tag as these values are misleading and some time ago there was an effort to replace them with "yes". Why did you started using them again? Was this even discussed somewhere before? Maraf (talk) 11:38, 6 October 2020 (UTC)

I completely agree that the values 1 and -1 should not be used in practice, but the intention of the table in the page is to give the implicit default values. That is an oneway with the direction of the road (which could be "yes") and an onway against the direction of the road for which the one way to indicate that is AFAIK the value -1. I am open to rewriting the table if there is a better alternative or adding a footnote not to use 1/-1 -- Emvee (talk) 19:25, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
You could replace "1" in the table with "yes", as "1" is indeed considered obsolete.
"-1", on the other hand, is still a correct and established value. It should be avoided when possible, but in this case, it's not possible to avoid it. --Tordanik 18:57, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
I made the choice to use -1 and 1 for "symmetry reasons" but took your suggestion to use "yes" instead of "1" -- Emvee (talk) 19:39, 7 October 2020 (UTC)
