What links here

Since we are merging both pages, it would be a good idea to eventually clean up the merged tag. This can be done by seeing the links on Special:WhatLinksHere/Key:maxage and Special:WhatLinksHere/Key:minage. I don't think there is a hurry for this, but it should be done someday. --Jgpacker (talk) 15:56, 22 July 2014 (UTC)

Except for pages in the User: and Talk: namespaces this is done now. --Floscher (talk) 22:20, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
Great job! --Jgpacker (talk) 22:35, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

Should this be used for *suggested* minimum ages?

The iD editor suggests this tag for features tagged as leisure=playground. I do see a lot of playgrounds with signs indicating a range of ages the playground was designed for, but usually the signs are phrased as if the age range is a suggestion, not a requirement, and unlike with, say, nightclubs, obviously there's no one standing around checking IDs for use of a playground. Does it make sense to tag min_age (and max_age) for features where the age range is merely a suggestion? Or is there some other tag we should use for that? --Worldmapper05 (talk) 00:32, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

min_age:advisory=* (cf maxspeed:advisory=*) --- Kovposch (talk) 05:04, 18 July 2022 (UTC)

Keep it simple! Who is going to evaluate different sub-tagging of how deeply enforced a particular age-limit is? Who makes the decision if the playground signage is being enforced or not? If an age-range is signposted, I map it with min_age and max_age, absolutely fine for me. --Polarbear w (talk) 16:10, 15 December 2023 (UTC)
