Poor definition

usually, leisure is about a physical feature, not an abstract description of a range of activities like here. E.G. leisure=pitch. The tag should better be called leisure=fishing_place or more specifically the kind of feature. Or it could be a property for other features, e.g. fishing=yes on a lake.—Dieterdreist (talk) 21:42, 13 September 2018 (UTC)

Agreed. I think anything other then something like maybe a tourist attraction point for fishing places is to abstract. Most places arent dedicated to fishing and its not correct in my opinion to tag a multi use beach as a leisure=fishing area. You should bring it up to the person on Github as to why it shouldnt be rendered. Along with the draft status. Is there even a proposal/draft page for it somewhere? I cant seem to find one.

Clarification of meaning.

This tag requires clarifying that it's to represent an area of a fishing organisation/club etc that includes the land around any water features, buildings such as a tackle shop, car park etc.

It needs to be emphasised that this tag shouldn't be used on any natural-water features. Fishing=yes is the appropriate fag for that on whose page this should also be clarified. --DaveF63 (talk) 20:37, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
