developer notification

Hi Is the service used to (automatically) notify the developers if one of their used tags change or is it more or less only for mappers and to see who is using which tags?

taginfo doesn't notify anybody. And how would taginfo know if "used tags change"? Change in what way? The service is for mappers and developers alike. Everybody can see what other people use and do with the tags. Joto (talk) 14:33, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

Checking if a tag has change would have to made by hand. It's mainly important for bigger changes (they tend to be not that often) like when the tagging scheme for power has changed. --Hedaja (talk) 16:32, 7 August 2015 (UTC)

name space

In the 'tags' section, for the 'key': how can I specify that the tool analyzes every key with a name space? Like "key": "name:*" or "key": "ref:*" --ToniE (talk) 11:48, 23 September 2022 (UTC)

No, not really. But for example: ref:MVV=602, ref:VLK=50 for a co-operated bus-route in München and Kelheim, where I check whether 602 and 50 are part of 'name' and whether 'MVV' and 'VLK' are part of 'network' or 'network:short' (if present)(PTv2) --ToniE (talk) 12:34, 23 September 2022 (UTC)

There is no way to do that. Taginfo doesn't know anything about the internal "semi-"structure of tags. Joto (talk) 15:41, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
