Usage

Simply place the template in the wiki text at the very top of the page to bring in the language links. Put it at the very top, although under any menu bar templates, if you are using these.

Language

will be:

Other languages:
English • Български

You can also use in the 2nd parameter the list of languages with Template:LanguageLinkEn and Template:LanguageLink:

will be:

Other languages:
· English • map features map features

Template:Languages automatically detects other language versions and automatically makes links to them.

However the latter template uses processing time for about 1 seconds. If the page is not so changed (e.g.. Main Page) and not needed to be translated to all languages (like the WikiProject France page which just needs a French version and an English translation), calling this template with a static list of languages when will probably be better.

The caveat is that all existing translated pages have to be updated in sync each time new translations have been added. Updating and maintaining all those pages may be even longer once there are just a handful of languages listed. Another solution may be investigated to match both needs from a single edited page.

Warning: Default sort key "LanguageLinks" overrides earlier default sort key "LanguageLinks/doc".
