Hi! I'm Geogast. I live in Celle, Germany.

I work al lot on Argentina, especially Capital Federal and Misiones, using Yahoo Bing images.

I am especially interested in railways, public transport in general and places of worship.

Churches etc in the USA

Lately, I have been working on places of worship in the USA. There has been a large import of data; and most places of worship have no religion (and denomination) tag. I add these tags deducing the value from the name. E.g.: nearly everything with "church" or "cathedral" in the name must be religion=christian; everything with "lutheran" in the name receives denomination=lutheran etc. Using xapi and JOSM, I have worked on probably 80 000 churches, synagogues, chapels etc.

Ferrovías en Argentina

Ultimamente estuve mapeando ferrovías en Argentina dibujando desde imágenes de Yahoo de baja resolución Bing. Así juzgo que una linea es una ferrovías y no una ruta: Ferrovías suelen tener curvas más redondas, menos abruptas. Cuando rutas desvían un pueblo y se ve una linea atravesando el medio del pueblo, esto suele ser la ferrovía (ejemplo).
