Who am I ?
Pierre Mauduit, from France
I have got a Royaltek GPS equiped with a SiRF star III chip, a NeoFreerunner GTA02 phone (shipped with a builtin GPS), and a HTC desire Z (android phone). I'm a JOSM user, and usually taking traces using OsmTracker for Android.
I'm interested in OSM for the datas the project can provide to my GIS (Postgresql / postGIS).
Where am I currently mapping (or used to map) ?
Mainly French areas, including :
- Chambéry (73, Savoie) - Brunoy (91, Essone) - Aix-en-Provence (13, PACA) - Locmariaquer (56, Morbihan) - Belfort (90, Territoire de Belfort)
I indeed added some administrative boundaries inside the Loiret (45).
What else ?
I created a statistics / errors page, relying on hexagon.osm datas, use to be updated weekly :

I try to maintain with some other volunteers a blog which relates some news around the project (especially targetting french people who are contributing or not to OSM) :
I participated to the massive import of road networks from shapefiles generously given by the "Communautés de communes de Landerneau" (Bretagne, France). It has been notified on the Import Catalogue (See here). Resulting changeset here
I also merged an OSM file with the buildings from Brunoy, Essonne, France with buildings already traced by hand. Changesets are here and here
