Summary

Description
English: Dry stone wall off Froggett Edge in the Derbyshire Peak District. This wall, typical of many in the area, is built of dry stone and has no mortar to hold the stones in place. Larger stones are at the bottom of the wall and smaller stones above them, arranged so that they provide and even surface for the coping stones. The wall is topped with coping stones whose function is to provide enough weight to retain the top layer of stones in place.[1]
