Description
English: Blacksmith Shop at Historic Chippewa City, Montevideo, Minnesota. Owned and operated by the Chippewa County Historical Society.
Peder Jacobson began blacksmithing in Montevideo in 1894. The building was repurposed from an old garage located at 211 N. 5th Street in Montevideo, MN. The blacksmith shop contains a grinding stone, forge, blacksmithing tools, and horse eveners.[1]
