English: National Cycle Network route 5 milepost, Hurst Street — Birmingham.
  • Hurst Street in central Birmingham forms part of route 5 in the National Cycle Network. This metal milepost was erected by The Millennium Commission as one of their millennium projects.
  • This milepost was one of 1,000 which were funded by The Royal Bank of Scotland to mark the creation of the National Cycle Network. On the left arm, it gives the distances to West Bromwich and Walsall. The right arm gives the distances to Bromsgrove and Redditch.
  • The milepost can be found between two pubs, the Old Fox and the Dragon Inn.
