New Business

• OSM US Board participation in Mapping USA
  • In Connect 2020, there was a mini-presentation by each plus one birds of a feather.
  • Let’s do a board update Fri / Birds of a feather on Sat
  • Friday format - opening 15 mins presentation then OSMUS board table at main break
  • Organize our presentation at May 13th meeting

Open Discussion

• iD Editor
  • Quincy (iD editor engineer) is stepping down, but will remain an advisor
  • We contribute money to the fund, so we may have a role.
  • Communication about this was not immediate
  • Do we know anyone that could fill his position? (Call on social media?)
  • Should this be a multiple person role?
  • Creating a sustainable model for this position is desirable
  • Started out as a Mapbox project, but now there is no one connected aside from OSMF
• Slippy map idea for the engineering working group
  • Interest in this may push it forward
• LCCWG
  • SOTM talk submitted - Representatives from different countries talk about how they interact with their governments
• SOTM 2022
  • Call for locations is out
  • North America may be a good place for hosting if other countries are still fighting COVID issues
