surveillance:type=* specifies the type of surveillance being undertaken.

Values

  • camera: A camera is surveying; what it feeds is unspecified. The most common.
  • guard: A (human) guard. Where the sensitivity of the location justifies the cost.
  • ALPR: Automatic license-plate recognition, a.k.a. number-plate recognition in the UK (ANPR): a system which automatically reads license plates on vehicles. In parking entries, for example.
  • gunshot_detector: One of a series of microphones used to pinpoint the source of detected gunshots in a given area
