OpenStreetMap 11th Anniversary Birthday party
We celebrated the project birthday, the OpenStreetMap 11th Anniversary Birthday party, on Sunday, 9th August 2015' (or thereabouts) in cities all around the world!
In London we had a big London Hack Weekend Aug 2015 at the geovation hub in Clerkenwell, so we celebrated the birthday all weekend, including lovely sunny evening drinks at the The Crown pub, Clerkenwell.
In Passau we have our regulars' table which will this time be dedicated to celebrate another great year of OpenStreetMap hacking and mapping. So join us for our birthday party on Monday, 10th August 2015, starting at 19:00 at the Café Kowalski in Passau.
In Fukushima we held a mapping party & 11th OSM Birthday party on 8th August. Inawashiro R294 Mapping party from 11am on Saturday. We used Mapillary for mapping. We held a OSM Birthday Party at Cafe BLACK HOLE(map) from 2pm on Saturday. We made a birthday cake.
In Chennai, we at SWIFT(SWIFT Women in Free Technologies), have organized a mapathon for first time and new mappers on the occasion of OSM's 11th anniversary. The event is for women and by women. Interested folks in and around the area do join us on Sunday, 9th August 2015, at the office premises of Free Software Foundation Tamil Nadu (FSFTN) (map) from 9-30 a.m. to 12-30 p.m.
In the monthly OpenStreetMap meetup in Taipei 19:30-21:300 (UTC+8) 8/10 at Mozilla Community Space (Map Here), we will give a brief introduction about the basic editing of OpenStreetMap using iD editor. In the discussion section we'll have a cake together to celebration the 11th anniversary of OpenStreetMap.
