I am proposing leisure=bingo_hall, though it could be under building=* or even amenity.

I'd suggest using leisure=bingo, as that's a bit more generic, and it's a good idea to separate the type of activity (bingo) from its physical premises (a hall). You can then combine the tag with building=yes if it's a building, or simply leave it as a node. Frankie Roberto 13:22, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
Yeah leisure=bingo is the tag I used when inventing something for this a while back ([1]) -- Harry Wood 09:58, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

Ball number

As 88 is by some people used as a code word for "Heil Hitler", maybe you should use any other number on the ball. --Cohan 07:08, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

The easyest way to strip the meaning of 88 is to use it in any other context. I am sure there are many secret codes for many things but these have no meaning in OSM. If you want to be sure only nazis use the term 88 feel free to change it any other place it might be of harm. Gnonthgol 07:33, 3 October 2009 (UTC)

Related to Gambling

I see we should use terminology that has a broader perspective. My proposal is to use tags "amenity=gambling" and "gambling=bingo" for Bingo. See more at Proposed features/Gambling. --Kslotte 19:08, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

--Capiscuas (talk) 15:44, 28 September 2013 (UTC) I don't get it, it says to use Proposed features/Gambling but overthere it says it's deprecated, then?

Renew

In fact, amenity = gambling is used primarily for bingo (casinos and slot machines have their own tags, so I want to reactivate this proposal. Something B (talk) 21:31, 19 February 2021 (UTC)
