building yes Area Use this value if you prefer building:type=* or if you don't want to or are unable to specify a building type.
building apartments Area Big house with apartments/flats. Sometimes there are shops at the ground floor. Aptvintsq.jpg
building bunker Area Military building, made to resist heavy fire. Complete with military=bunker.
building church Area A building that was built as a church. This should be completed with amenity=place_of_worship, religion=* and denomination=* unless it is no longer used for that purpose. Churchstcl.jpg
building collapsed Area A collapsed or destroyed building. See also historic=ruins and ruins=*.
building commercial Area A building where commercial activities take place. Probably used with shop=*.
building detached Area Single-family detached home, similar to building=house
building farm Area A house on a farm, use building=warehouse if it's for storing goods.
building garage Area For a structure with a single space suitable for storing a motor vehicle or similar. Use building=garages for structure containing a number of discrete storage storage spaces, often with different access and owners/tenants.
