This is not an utility

According Wikipedia's public utilities, this value doesn't match to this definition I'm affraid.
Many peripheral values like loudspeaker, surveillance refers to activites that rely on public utilities without being actually one (a screen billboard can require power to run but advertising in public space isn't a proper utility).
I'm in favour to look for a better solution outside utility=* key, why not man_made=*? Fanfouer (talk) 21:48, 22 July 2021 (UTC) @Natfoot footnat: how do you feel about this please? Fanfouer (talk) 18:58, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

As pointed in US Slack or somewhere I can't find at this moment, I guess this and utility=highway are caused by asking for utility=* on marker=* or some other presets. ----- Kovposch (talk) 06:00, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
After a quick check, utility=* isn't asked on marker=* nor man_made=utility_pole in JOSM. It could be great to find where exactly, because it's not mandatory at all, and not necessary to define an utility value for highway=* neither. Fanfouer (talk) 14:40, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
