Summary
| Description |
English: Ballybur Castle door. This entrance was the main entrance into the tower house; I'm not sure how original the entrance at the back is, because secondary entrances tended to be on 1st floor level. This one has yett holes at the top and in the sides of the doorway. The yett was the second defensive element after the bawn wall, if there ever was a bawn wall. |
