In France, ref:FR:SIREN is an external reference tag used to indicate companies' SIREN number as assigned (search(fr)) by the Institut national de la statistique et des études économiques (INSEE) in the Système d'Identification du Répertoire des Entreprises.

If the building is the headquarters of the company[1], it is recommended to tag both ref:FR:SIREN=*, i.e. the 9 first digits of the SIRET, alongside ref:FR:SIRET=* itself.
