The key gtfs:name=* was used in public transportation tagging to add the *_name, *_short_name or *_long_name present in the GTFS files to an corresponding OSM object.
If both *_short_name and *_long_name were present in the GTFS file the value from *_long_name should have been used.
Use of the key is discouraged because it is not clear which file of the GTFS feed is referred to.
Instead use gtfs:stop_name=*, gtfs:route_short_name=*, gtfs:route_long_name=* or gtfs:trip_short_name=*

Currently, two different name spaces are used for GTFS, gtfs_* and gtfs:*:
