== About this template ==
Use this template with the syntax <nowiki>{{delete}}</nowiki>

Use it to delete a page, when a page definitely and unequivocally should be deleted. Replace the entire contents of the page with <nowiki>{{delete}}</nowiki>, and please give a reason for the deletion in the 'Summary' field when you make this edit. See also [http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help:Deleting_a_page MediaWiki Help:Deleting a page]

If you would prefer to just ''propose'' the deletion of a page (and/or redirecting of the page), without actually removing the content yourself, then use [[Template:Delete proposal]], and be sure to give your reasoning on the associated talk page, to kick of any discussion which might be necessary.

It will help the [[Special:listadmins|wiki sysops]] to deal with all these, if this delete template is only used in cases where the community has agreed upon the decision to delete, or where individuals believe (in good faith) that there could be no reason for anyone to disagree with the deletion.

Trash-can-icon.gif This page has been labelled for deletion.

This normally means the page title is a bad one, and the content has been moved somewhere better. If a page title is vaguely meaningful, it should perhaps be a redirect instead. If you disagree with its deletion, please explain why on its talk page.

The page history shows what used to be on this page, and allows people to rescue an old revision. We may decide to do this, but otherwise a wiki 'sysop' user can delete this page more permanently at some point. In the meantime we should fix any pages linking to here.
