A guy is a rope used for holding a mast, which can be also used as powerline support as Tag:power=tower or Tag:power=pole. Guys can be directly grounded, insulated toward the mast, divided by insulators and grounded via coils. The first construction type is used for masts exclusively used for transmitting on VHF-frequencies or above or for masts not used for transmission purposes at all. Guys can also be used for feeding radio power to be radiated into a mast radiator, so a connection to objects power:line and power:minor_line is possible.
How to Map
Draw a way between the mast and the guy basement and add the man_made=guy to it. If the basement is realized as concrete block than mark it with Concrete block. If insulators are in the guy mark them as man_made=guy_insulator.
- guy:insulated=yes - guy is insulated to ground
- guy:insulated=no - guy is directly grounded
- guy:insulated=device - guy is grounded over a special device like a coil
Insulators in guys are marked with man_made:guy_insulator, markers with man_made:marker
