Why not just use landuse=greenhouse ? --Delta foxtrot2 02:49, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Well, a greenhouse is a structure, not the landuse. And there are usually many greenhouses in a given area, not just one. It would also not cover any of the auxilliary facilities used in the horticulture (outdoor areas, buildings for packing, storages, outdoor water reservoirs etc). When (if) the tag is added to the presets in JOSM, Potlatch etc it will really not be a problem to use. Have a look at the discussion on the landuse=farm page where my original suggestion landuse=greenhouses was shot down. Polderrunner 07:15, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
I very much support the decision not to use something like landuse=greenhouse(s). Otherwise, there would be significant confusion between marking the area and marking individual buildings. For the latter, building=* tags should be used, of course. --Tordanik 08:34, 23 August 2009 (UTC)
Can we hope for a landuse=greenhouse_farm_market in the near future ? --Art Penteur 21:03, 5 September 2012 (BST)
