Reason for being historic

Google+ ([1]) is a social network that has been shut down by Google. All the invites are invalid.

OpenStreetMap had a presence on Google+, currently administered by Jonathan Bennett for the OSMF Communication Working Group. In fact there were a number of different Google Plus things created in the name of 'OpenStreetMap'

We'd like to know more about who set these up and who is administering them. At the moment it's somewhat mysterious. Please add details here.
