On the covered=* page, I tried to fix some of the phrasing to make it clearer English, but was not sure exactly what was meant by the note about using layer=* at the end of the Usage section. Please take a look and correct it if necessary or let me know if I got it wrong. Thanks! Neuhausr (talk) 15:42, 2 June 2015 (UTC)

Namespace template hacks

Hi, I have started working on an implementation to see how difficult it would be, if you have some knowledge in hacking templates have a look at User:RicoZ#Template_hacks. For now I have the problem that my Template:NamespacePagename function isn't invoked, which might be the result of using a personal namespace or some silly typo of me. RicoZ (talk) 15:44, 2 August 2015 (UTC)

I think I fixed that with User:RicoZ/Template:NamespacePagename.--Jojo4u (talk) 19:47, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
The explanation: Note that when using braces {{...}}, the page to be transcluded defaults to the Template: namespace if no other namespace is specified. To transclude a page in another namespace, the full pagename must be specified.--Jojo4u (talk) 20:14, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
Thanks:) So it might be easier than I feared to get something working. Now we need to figure out what exactly it should do. Should it be separate templates for prefix/infix/suffix, what should be the page names?RicoZ (talk) 21:30, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
I'm not sure, for the beginning we could start with "NamespaceDescription" and type=prefix/postfix. Infix is really rare, I would skip it for now.--Jojo4u (talk) 20:12, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

deprecated name tags

hey, warum hast du die info zu name_1 alt_name_1 von key:names gelöscht? Hakuch (talk) 08:42, 23 May 2016 (UTC)

In der List der Key/Values steht es ja weiterhin drin: "Do not use this tag, suffixed name tagging for multiple values is deprecated."--Jojo4u (talk) 09:13, 23 May 2016 (UTC)

(highway=path) != Radweg

I believe that is too simple: [1] #1. Highway=path in extra urban areas might be alpinist hiking paths or whatever else. And I don't have any idea how to do it better, this table is next to useless anyway. RicoZ (talk) 09:08, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

RicoZ (talk) 11:31, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Don't redirect pages to be deleted

Please don't do this. When you do, taginfo will show the description from the infobox of the page it redirects to and nothing to indicate that the tag should be phased out so it is very easy to miss that when someone is not paying too much attention.

undiscussed changes to historic=castle page

I have just noticed that you changed the castle page completely, removing modern castles and castles outside of Europe and the Middle East for no clear reason and without any kind of discussion. Please revert these edits and discuss on the tagging mailing list before applying changes to longstanding definitions. Your edit has introduced a lot of inconsistency to the castle definition. --Dieterdreist (talk) 23:48, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
