Bad Caddie (also styled BadCaddie) is a golf application for iPhone with a companion Apple Watch app. It uses OpenStreetMap golf-course data for course search and hole maps. Features include GPS yardages, scorecards, shot recording and club suggestions based on recorded distances.[1]

Use of OpenStreetMap

The app searches OpenStreetMap course data and displays hole maps including mapped fairways, greens and hazards. Available course detail depends on the underlying mapping. Recently used courses are retained for subsequent use.[1]

Users can supplement incomplete courses with personal course information, including tees, pins, doglegs and hazards. This personal mapping stays on the device unless exported and shared; it is separate from contributing edits to the OpenStreetMap database.[1]

Availability

The app is available for iPhone with an Apple Watch companion. It includes an exploration mode and one round, with a lifetime in-app purchase to remove the round limit. Course and round import/export are included in the lifetime unlock.[1]
