Apparently, there hasn't been any OSM meeting, party or presentation in Brisbane since 2010 (!), at least according to the existing wiki pages.

This meeting will be held in a meeting room in the Brisbane Square Library on Sunday the 15th of December 2013, from 4:15 till 6:45 pm. (The room is booked from 4 pm but some time will be needed to set it up).

In case some attendees have not heard of OSM before, there will be a general presentation of the project. The rest of the time will be dedicated to a kind of workshop where seasoned contributors will be helping new editors, and we will complete fairly simple tasks like error fixing and building outlining. If enough people are up for it, we could also form little teams that can go out with field papers in order to survey missing data in the city.

Contributions are very welcome - ideas for activities, help organising, bring friends along... It is the first time the organiser plans something of the sort.
