Category:Creative Commons Licenses

This category aims to document data sources that use the various compatible (and soon-to-be incompatible) Creative Commons licenses. Please tag your pages within [[Category:CC BY]], [[Category:CC BY-SA]], or any similar scheme for other licenses, or one of their subcategoies (preferably by using their associated templates in files/medias description pages).

Note that with today's OSM licensing scheme, only data sources using the CC-0 (public domain) or CC-BY (attribution) licenses are compatible for data imports into the OSM Database. Data sources using other Creative Commons licenses such as CC-BY-SA are no longer accepted, unless they are relicensed without the share-alike (SA) restriction.
This applies to their use in mapping. Those are still approved for use in the Wiki.
