There are various status for external organizations, more or less involved in the OSM project (Not all of them are "Members" of the OSM Foundation, some may be "Associated" partners of the OSMF but this is not public and may change over time).

Some of them are commercial organizations selling products used by the project or by the community at large; others are non-profit or government organization contributing data or provide an open access to their reusable data, or are cooperating with the project, or promoting it; others are using the data and provide commercial services based on OSM Data.

Warning: Default sort key "Organizations" overrides earlier default sort key "Organisations".
