DOBIERO is a mobile application that uses OpenStreetMap-derived point-of-interest data to suggest apps and services associated with nearby places in Poland. Examples include a shop’s loyalty app, a petrol station’s app or a parcel locker service. It is published by JMSOFT apps and is available free of charge for Android through Google Play in Poland.
Use of OpenStreetMap data
DOBIERO uses a catalogue of places derived from OpenStreetMap extracts supplied by Geofabrik. The catalogue is bundled with the application. Place matching and the selection of suggestions take place on the device and work offline. Mappings between places or brands and relevant applications are maintained by the DOBIERO project.
Source notices also document motorway service-area data from Poland’s General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) and the use of Overture Maps data for quality checks.
The OSM-derived database is distributed under the Open Database License (ODbL) 1.0. The data and licences page provides release-specific JSON downloads, SHA-256 checksums and source notices. The database licence is distinct from the application licence.
Features
Suggestions appear in the app, in a home-screen widget and in notifications. Where the location cannot be matched confidently to one place, the app can show suggestions for nearby places. Opening another app or its store listing requires a user tap. Users can mute places or categories and manage their muted items.
DOBIERO requires no account. It processes location on the device and does not transmit precise location or keep a visit history. Its privacy policy describes the local state retained by the app and its use of the phone’s location services.
Availability
As of November 2026, DOBIERO is available for Android in Poland. The iPhone version is not yet publicly available.
