FPOSM
FPOSM (Fédération des Pros d'OSM) is a french non-profit organization that brings together companies offering services based on OpenStreetMap. Its mission is to support these businesses while actively protecting, promoting, and contributing to the OSM project itself.
The federation encourages the adoption of OSM in professional contexts, supports good practices to improve data quality, and aims to meet the growing needs of public and private organizations that use OSM data in their daily work
The federation’s work complements the volunteer-driven efforts of OpenStreetMap France, which already provides strong support to the contributor community.
Activities
- Actively promote the OSM project, data co-creation, open data and open software.
- Represent the interests of OSM professionals.
- Strengthen the network of OSM professionals in France.
- Carry out our activities in close cooperation with other actors in the OpenStreetMap community.
Values
Foundation's recognition
The OSM foundation has granted a trademark agreement in 2023 (renewed in 2025) for the FPOSM to use the OpenStreetMap brand.
