GeoMappers – SUSL is the YouthMappers chapter of the Department of Remote Sensing and GIS of the Faculty of Geomatics of the Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka.

About us

The chapter was started on January 5, 2023, by a group of undergraduate students who are passionate about using geospatial technologies to solve real-world problems. The chapter is currently composed of over 30 members, all of whom are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science Honours in Surveying Sciences in Geographic Information System degree program. The chapter meets regularly to discuss current events in the geospatial industry, share knowledge and skills, and introduce and train the people to map the spatial features using OpenStreetMap which uses geospatial technologies to benefit the local community.
