Gramps is an open-source, cross-platform genealogical research application for creating and visualizing family trees. Gramps Web is a self-hosted Web application that provides much of the same functionality with additional collaboration features. Both applications can visualize people and events on an interactive, OpenStreetMap-based map. Additionally, Gramps Web supports OpenHistoricalMap for viewing people and events in a proper historical context without anachronisms.
