Practical accessibility

The tag wheelchair=* is used to indicate if/how some place/feature/amenity/means of transportation is physically accessible with wheelchairs or similar disabilities - see the tag description page for more details.

Legal accessibility

Features that have special legal allowance for disabled persons can be mapped with access:disabled=*, for example in a combination like access=no+access:disabled=yes, see also about fees bellow.

A newer approach would be to use conditional restrictions such as

  • access:conditional = designated @ disabled
  • access:conditional = designated @ (disabled AND customer)

Designated parking space

Whole parking area

Mark particular parking lots separately - see proposal for more details

- or -

Roadside parking, see also parking:lane=*

  • parking:lane:left/right/both:capacity:disabled
  • parking:lane:left/right/both:disabled
  • parking:condition:left/right/both=disabled

- and last not least much of it could be probably expressed using conditional restrictions syntax.

Fees, special conditions

Disabled persons frequently enjoy reduced fees, this can be indicated using

A newer alternative is to use the conditional restrictions syntax such as

  • fee:conditional=yes + fee:conditional=no @ Su,PH; no @ disabled;
