Other Business

The discussion mainly had one topic: the dwindling number of attendants at our meetings. Ralph mentioned that this seems to be a somewhat general phenomenon as other working groups face similar problems. He added that it might not be sufficient to simply call for help on the mailing list as this working group is centred around learnOSM and the technical process to get contents up there needs some familiarization. Michael came up with the suggestion that we might rather ask for contents than for technical help. If someone delivers an office document or a html page on a subject then the process of converting it to learnOSM is the far easier part. He also suggested to start with documents on mobile OSM. This seems to be a field where our current documentation might not be up to date with current applications and versions. Furthermore, many (particularly younger) people will focus on such devices so we need to follow up there.
