India/Regional Tagging Guidelines

Abstract

This page aims to provide a distinct way of tagging features exclusive to the Indian subcontinent. In cases of existing tags (widely used or not), additional description is provided to help mappers pick which tag to use and vice-versa. Discussions for the needs of adding more values for any existing key, or creating a new key, or creating a new schema altogether will have to go through the Community Forum first (preferably through this thread) and will only be considered adding if a consensus is built in favour of it and documented in the Wiki (as mentioned here).
