Key:charging station:host

Many if not most electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are installed on land not owned by the EV charging station operator. The landowner (or land use rights holder) then serves as the host of the charging station. It's useful to search for charging stations hosted by a specific host such as a favorite shop or restaurant. An OSM search to match a tag is faster and less compute intensive than a search requiring distance calculations, such as "charging stations within 1000 m of Big Brand Burgers".

How to tag

Add charging_station:host=* to the same feature you are tagging with amenity=charging_station.

Most charging station operators give the host, but it can be cryptically abbreviated. Some explicitly list the host.
