This key stands for hierarchy level of telecommunication local loops connection points.
Several levels, up to four or five can be encountered on public telecom networks depending of environment and technical constraints.

List of possible connection_point=* values.
Key Value Comment
connection_point primary The first level of connection point, really often present on local loops as to not connect every possible customers to local exchanges and optimise cables capacities.
secondary Second level of connection between the primary level and subscribers.
tertiary Tertiary level of connection between the secondary level and subscribers.
