This tag counts how many newspaper tubes (also known as newspaper holders or newspaper boxes) are available at a mailbox.

Most of the time there is only one or none for a single mailbox. At apartment buildings there is usually one for each household or none at all. It is also common that you will only find one for all apartments, sometimes with a sign indicating the owner.

Values

  • newspaper_tubes=no There is no newspaper tube available.
  • newspaper_tubes=1 There is only one newspaper tube available. The most common value at single family houses.
  • newspaper_tubes=2 There are two newspaper tubes available.
  • newspaper_tubes=... You can use any number, depending on how much newspaper tubes are available.
  • newspaper_tubes=separate Used when the newspaper tubes location is not next to the mailbox, it should get its own node.
