old_start_date=* can be used to indicate the date a feature opened originally, not in the current position or form.
Examples
- A statue was moved to a different place, use
old_start_date=*for the date of its original creation, usestart_date=*when it was moved to the new position. - Historic monument was rebuilt after a war, use
old_start_date=*for the date of its original construction, usestart_date=*when it was reconstructed.
