panoramax:annotation=* is useful to target a given Panoramax annotation inside a particular image. It avoids the need to store a full URL to this annotation in more general image=* key.
This particular UUID can be found in Panoramax's viewer URL when selecting the corresponding annotation.
It has the advantage to specify explicitly a link between an OSM feature and a Panoramax's annotation. Panoramax could then process the OSM diffs to create (or remove) links to OSM from a given annotation, and cross-check tags, without human action.
Work in progress
Annotations in Panoramax are now established but we still lack a few functionalities to ease this process. It's currently work in progress to get this adopted more broadly.
- A proper API route to target a given annotation without the need to provide the corresponding Panoramax picture's UUID
- A UI control to copy the annotation's UUID as easy as the picture's UUID itself
