railway:cbtc=* is used to indicate a railway line utilises communications-based train control signalling.
Values
The type of CBTC is dependent on the installed Grade of Automation.
Unattended Train Operation
Unattended Train Operation (GoA4) involves the complete automation of routine railway operations. Both station operations and movement operations can be controlled with no human operators.
Driverless Train Operation
Driverless Train Operation (GoA3) involves the automation of various key tasks including driving, however staff must be present on the train, to monitor door operations and take control in emergencies.
Semi-Automatic Train Operation
Semi-Automatic Train Operation (GoA2) involves the automation of the driving task, however doors and emergency situations are still the responsibility of the driver in a conventional cab.
Usage
Sections of track equipment with a CBTC system should utilise the tag railway:cbtc=yes. If the type of automation is known for that particular section of track, the corresponding tag may be used instead. CBTC is a broad term as it's implementation is specific to each railway so digression should be used.
