The Primary Location Code is a reference created by the European Railway Agency to provide a unique identifier for each railway site (station, yard, junction, ...).

Structure

The PLC consists of the ISO 3166 country code of the country in which the railway site is located (e.g. AT, BE, CH, ...), followed by five digits.

Example : BE00220 = Bruxelles-Midi

Non-significant zeros must be kept and added if necessary to have five digits.

Concerned objects

Any railway operating site which have this reference.

This tag should not be added to tracks.
