Kinderfreundliche Orte is a web app that uses OpenStreetMap to present family-friendly places (playgrounds, changing tables, child-friendly cafés) in Europe. Answers: where do I go with a toddler?
Features
- Find playgrounds nearby, with details on equipment (swings, slides, seesaws, …)
- Find the closest changing table
- Find family-friendly cafés and restaurants (kids' area, highchair)
- Playground ratings via spieli.eu
- Report missing equipment directly from the map ("Ausstattung melden")
Data
The map is built from OpenStreetMap data, refreshed daily. It evaluates these tags:
- Tag:leisure=playground with playground=* equipment tags
- changing_table=*
- kids_area=*
- highchair=*
Contributing missing data directly to OpenStreetMap (e.g. with the iD editor) improves the map for everyone.
