London Operation Cowboy 2012 is the London branch of the Operation Cowboy wordwide mapathon event.

Date: 24 November. Doors open at 10am, start at 11am. Finish at 5pm, then retire to a nearby pub or restaurant.

Lunch will be provided thanks to sponsorship from Wikimedia UK.

Venue: Top Office Machines, 133 Bethnal Green Road. (Top of Brick Lane)

The idea is to try and increase coverage of the United States. People the world over will be working furiously to try and make OpenStreetMap's US maps better than ever: finding and fixing "map bugs", drawing new stuff on the map from satellite imagery, researching places and improving metadata. See Operation Cowboy for details.

It's not just for experienced OpenStreetMappers, anyone who is interested in learning how to map is welcome.
