About
Mappers@POLIBA is a chapter of the international network YouthMappers (YM), founded by the members of the Applied Geomatics laboratory (AGlab) group of the Polytechnic of Bari (Italy) in 2021. The chapter is dedicated to collaborative and humanitarian mapping activities, as well as training pursuits for university and high secondary school students, by using free and open-source platforms.
YM, founded with the contribution of the GeoCenter of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), is a global community of people, grouped together in more than 300 chapters over all the world, which are devoted to address development challenges and create resilient communities by using public geospatial data and information.
