Proposal

  • Tagging of clubs where live music is played.
  • A musicclub is a place where people go primarily to listen to the music in informal and comfortable environment and talk to each other. You can get some drinks and refreshment. Music clubs are usually quite small (30-60 people, sometimes up to 200); with tables for listeners to sit at and a podium for musicians. Live music is played (allmost) every night and most of the clubs are genre specialised (jazz-clubs, rock-clubs, etc.).

Tagging

Music clubs are different from any existing features. The closest ones are

  • amenity=nightclub - place to drink and dance, e.g. like discos , where the music is almost entirely reproduced.
  • amenity=pub - place to sit and drink, but there is no music at all

Additional Attributes

Tag Description
name=* The name of the music club.
website=* The website of the club.
music_genre=* The genre of music preferably played in the club.

Examples

There are lots of them in all cities. In Prague, for example, they are not mapped at all. A picture of a music club: File:Musicclub.jpg
