Name tagging decision tree

Decision tree for classifying and tagging names in OpenStreetMap.

Name classification and tagging is a practical decision tree that helps mappers choose appropriate name-related tags for objects in OpenStreetMap. It complements, but does not replace, the documentation for individual tags.

How to use

Start at the top of the decision tree and answer the questions about a particular name. The final node indicates the appropriate key or group of keys.

For details, limitations, and examples, consult the documentation for the relevant tags.
