Proposal

My proposal is to join golf=distance_marker into golf=fairway_marker as seen in taginfo and document this use in the wiki on affected pages.

Rationale

On many golf courses there is markers in the middle of the fairway to indicate how long it is to the center of the green. Glossary of golf terms fairway marker. This was previously dicussed in Proposal talk:Golf course#Way.

See R&A offical text about such distance markersː

3.9 Distance Information

While the use of distance-measuring devices has become quite common, there are still many golfers who do not use such devices. Many golfers are quite happy with an approximate yardage. To assist such golfers, easily located distance markers can help with pace of play. In this regard, a stake at the side of the fairway is often more easily seen than a ground level disc. Providing distance information on sprinkler heads can also be of assistance. [1]

There may be a discussion over that we should use the offical name by R&A and USGA and call it "distance marker" or similair. Up to discussion.
