Proposal talk:Car service

What tag would I use for an office/shop of an automobile club? I mean that sort of office where they sell memberships, insurances, maps, and other travel accessories. But without car repair. --holgermappt 12:33, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

  • So the car_service is only for services that do something with a car beside of repairs, but not for other car related services that do not require me to have a car with me, right? --holgermappt 17:06, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

For car inspection facility (car_service=inspection), there are 2 possibilities:

• The facility consists of a station only for inspection, operated by some testing institution
• The facility is basically a car repair, which lets someone come regularly who is certified to make the inspection.

How to map the inspection institution (e.g. TÜV, DEKRA in germany) ? for a) the name tag will be used, but how for b)? "name" will be the name of the repair shop. Proposal: inspection=xxx --Holger l (talk) 12:55, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
