For tagging shops which sell lots of very different things.

Discussion

  • Since shop=... was voted in recently, why not simply shop=general_store or some such, rather than introducing a new tag? -David.earl 10:45, 29 March 2007 (BST)
    • That was actually what I meant to propose, corrected it now. Bobkare 22:14, 3 April 2007 (BST)

IMO this tag is close to useless, as it really says nothing whatsoever about the type of shop it is. Perhaps "building=shop" would be better for this purpose. Also, "store" is a synonym for "shop" so that should be removed from the value. Hawke 19:23, 2 July 2007 (BST)

There are shops, which sells everything, and they are quite common, small villages have this kind of shops. They work just like supermarkets, except they are small. So I thing, this tag is usefull. --Walley 15:34, 3 July 2007 (BST)

  • I oppose this feature, doesn't seem to add anything useful. - LastGrape 21:26, 2 July 2007 (BST)

  • I oppose this feature, because the description is pretty short and I still don't have real clue what it's all about. In addition, this sounds much the same as shop=convenience_store to me. Ulfl 02:24, 12 July 2007 (BST)
